You can download Subtitles to a Movie as long as you select: âPLAY WITH VLCâ. Although this is not guaranteed, it works most of the time.
The steps to download Subtitles are:
1- when you hit Play to watch a Movie, select âPlay with VLCâ
2- once Movie starts, pause the Movie
3- Scroll left once and click
4- scroll up right to drop down arrow and click
5- select on Download Subtitles;select on any of the subtitles available and then click back once. Make sure name of subtitle matches name of movie you are playing. If the name of the movie is not listed, click on magnifying glass and type in the name of the movie, then click next for Season and same for Episode. Let it load, and choose the correct subtitles name that matches your movie
6- then, Play Movie, and Subtitles should appear at bottom of your screen
7- done
*If you do not show VLC as an option, it means you have not optimized the GatewayHD app. Follow these steps:
1-Go to home screen of the GatewayHD app where you see LiveTV, Movies and Series
2-scroll up right and a hidden Menu will appear
3-Click on Settings
4-Click in General Settings> uncheck Open app at boot up. Scroll all the way down and click Save Changes
5-Go back to Settings
6-Scroll down to External Players> click Add Player, select MX Player, click Add, then click Add Player again, click VLC Player, click Add. Then click back once
7-Done. Click back to home screen
8-Click LiveTV, you are done
*If you do not show the option to Add VLC or MX Player into GatewayHD that means that probably your device uninstalled the VLC player app because you missed my email regarding âOFF LOADINGâ from Amazon updates and in my opinion, it is best to invest $25 and bring to me for a full update
